Chelsea Village

I’ve lived here long term and have seen a lot of changes over the past couple of years, unfortunately not for the better. There’s been a lot of turnover in the leasing office, which has led to consistent communication issues. The current property manager often comes across as defensive and doesn’t seem to take tenant concerns, especially around safety and overall satisfaction, as seriously as they should. Maintenance has been a mixed experience. The team itself is respectful and usually quick to respond, which I appreciate but the volume of issues has increased. In some cases, problems seem to be caused by other residents, which makes it more frustrating. For example, my car has been hit and damaged three separate times in the lot, twice requiring insurance claims and two of the incidents involved the SAME RESIDENT! The overall environment has also shifted. There are often unsupervised kids playing in the streets and common areas, sometimes causing damage. Pets are left out on patios barking for long periods and trash areas regularly overflow into the street. It just doesn’t feel as well maintained or managed as it used to. Even routine upkeep that used to feel thorough now feels more like the bare minimum. Rent has gone up, but the improvements haven’t matched. I was told I would be getting a new patio door (as the sole update to my unit) over a year ago and that still hasn’t happened. This used to be a quiet, well-kept community but it doesn’t feel that way anymore. The location is still a strong point with plenty of nearby restaurants and retail options but overall it’s been a disappointing shift.
