I've been here since early November 2024. The rent is very reasonable, especially since all utilities except cable/internet are included. My apartment is a studio, but it's quite large. In addition, it's the first place I've ever lived locally (I've lived in Hawaii most of my life & grew up in Kailua) where I couldn't hear every single thing my neighbors were doing through the walls.. There are children upstairs from me, but I wasn't aware of that for months. If I wasn't sure my neighbor existed I would think the apartment next to me is empty. It's magical.
There's a laundry room with 24-hour accessibility that has extremely cheap rates ($1.50 - $1.75 for a load of laundry or an hour of dryer time). There's an app for using the laundromat that also allows you to check which washers/dryers are in use, and how much time remains on any that are running, without leaving your apartment. It also keeps track of your machine use and alerts you when your load is finished.
I have only had to fill out a work order request once, and it was addressed the next day and fixed in less than a week. In my experience, the management staff is very friendly and helpful. I recently needed emergency spine surgery and spent 2 weeks in the hospital. When I was released from Queens, in a wheelchair I barely had the strength to propel, a miscommunication with family left me entirely on my own for several hours when I returned home. I also had neither of my house keys. Our manager made sure she was in-office when I was dropped off by my uber, helped me into the building, and saw me safely into my apartment.
The building is secured -- guests call at an intercom and can be buzzed in. There's an open parking lot in front that is entirely free and unrestricted, and some assigned tenant parking that occasionally becomes available.
