Gables Montecito

Living here has been great. The community is fantastic and kind. The commodities are great like the tennis court, lake to walk around, pool, and gym (although lack luster compared to outside gyms) Only real issues have been: Mailing service: Deliver mail to wrong addresses and still deliver old mail despite name being inside the mailbox. Maintenance: I have put in multiple service requests in my time here and very few were actually resolved. They did replace the washer that broke on the first request. The other requests included the drains in multiple sinks, and they still do not function properly. The sink shredder doesn't even turn on with the switch anymore. The drains and sinks are probably the biggest grievance I have. Doors: My closet door just fell over one day. Tried putting it back but the hinge is so cheap that it will no longer stay. Also, some doors will not latch when closed. I have to lift the door in order for it to latch and stay shut. Lighting: Lights in the kitchen and bathroom are fine. Its the living and dining room lights that are either insufficient, or too focused on one point and do not cover the space. Bedroom also does not have a light in it which requires the purchase of a lamp to have any light in that space. But overall, I would say I have enjoyed my time at Gables Montecito.

Management handles only the most basic operational matters directly affecting tenants' daily lives; however, whenever a request is made for an improvement or upgrade, the response is simply: "No one is going to do that." We are talking about something as simple as adding a second bench to the gym—an inexpensive yet essential piece of equipment, given that the current system operates on a "first come, first served" basis. This situation is completely unacceptable and bizarre, yet no one seems to care about tenant well-being or improving the quality of life and service. If the gym's single bench is occupied, others cannot work out, even if the bench press bar is available. Many people use the bench merely as a shelf or a stand for dumbbells—causing damage in the process—or as a makeshift table, while others simply leave because they are unable to train. The campfire area was broken, and no one has made any effort to repair or restore it.

This place is in an amazing location but thats it everything eles about it is not okay, the hallways are always trashy and are filled with weed smokers, the gate has a top flight security who does not do his job, there are no parking spaces and a bunch of car break ins
