As we lived in Monterey, CA with a 12 months' lease expiring on 30th November 2025, we submitted a request online for a 2BR2BA apartment and when we didn't receive a response, we called and talked to Veronica. She asked us to submit online applications and we did. After your system's processing and approval of our applications, she asked us to put a Security Deposit of $495 and we did that immediately. We requested her a virtual tour that she promised after the PHA's inspection scheduled for morning of 25th November. She became too busy to even call us after the inspection if it was approved, not to talk of a virtual tour. We keep calling her every 30 minutes until 4pm when we called the Maintenance Person who told us that she was right there and then she confirmed that the PHA Inspector APPROVED the Apt 57 and also, told us that she will call us after reaching her office that she never did. Also, we sent her an email on 25th November 2025 to let us know the utilities that are required to be transferred in our name, She replied with the phone number of Riverside Public Utilities. We called them and they asked for the Lease. Veronica told us that the Lease can not be signed nor can be emailed to us and we have to sign it personally when we come to move-in on 1st December 2025. Still she was too busy to get us the virtual tour. We were told that it is a ground floor BUT WERE NOT INFORMED OF THE HEIGHT OF THE BUILDING OF THE APT #57 WHICH IS MORE THAN EIGHT FEET and we have to take many steps up from the street to our apartment everyday that we were flabbergasted to know when we arrived around 7:30 am with our U-Haul truck on 1st December 2025. We were waiting to meet with her at the office at 8am but she was busy in our apt 57 taking photos and we saw Miguel on the side of the office who came there for making a key (may be for our apartment) and he told us that she is coming soon. We met with her after 8:30 am and were given the keys around 10:30 am. More, if called.
