Whitten Creek Apartments

Whitten Creek isn’t a bad option if you simply need a place to sleep, but after living there for five years, I was happy to leave. On the positive side, my apartment in the 1300 building was basic but modern and in decent condition. The maintenance team was responsive and handled repairs promptly. The complex also allowed me to keep a large-breed dog, although that required a substantial nonrefundable deposit and additional monthly pet rent. Unfortunately, the property’s upkeep and management were often frustrating. The grounds frequently flooded, and dog waste was regularly left around the property, including on sidewalks. Although there were dog parks and waste-bag stations, the stations rarely had bags. Management usually blamed supply issues, which was disappointing considering the amount residents paid in monthly pet rent. Winter maintenance was also a concern. Management said they would not put down salt because it might cause someone to slip, but the untreated ice created its own safety risk, especially for children and older residents. My most frustrating experience involved roadwork planned for 2023. Residents were first told it would happen during the summer, then sometime in October. We were told to watch Facebook and expect notices on our doors. Instead, management announced on October 25 that vehicles had to be moved that same day or they would be towed. My wife and I had already left that morning for vacation, and we returned to a $341 towing bill. Even 24 hours’ notice on our door, as promised, could have prevented it. When I picked up my truck, I saw several other vehicles with Whitten Creek parking stickers at the tow lot. Overall, the apartments themselves are acceptable, and maintenance was reasonably dependable. However, inconsistent communication, poor groundskeeping, and limited responses to recurring concerns made the experience disappointing. If you only need a basic place to sleep, it may be adequate, but I was relieved to move on.

So far so good. Everyone is really nice and helpful and the value is exceptional. Bank got hacked and they worked with me to resolve issues that stemmed from that. Very good folks to deal with and I’d recommend this place to young families or anyone single needed a good safe place to live. Enjoying my stay so far.
