Concerns:
Lived here 9 years and landlord has always honored the original lease agreement price for rent. Only last year rent for everyone was increased $100 due to fuel and water cost increases.
It has always been understood that a gravelled area on the side of the multi- plex could be used for extra vehicle parking. Recently tenants were notified if they had a car or cars stored in that atea they would be towed away or have the option of paying an additional $60 for each car.
Notices were recently put on the door that no marijuiana usage would be tolerated on the property. I am drug free so I like this, but felt it was unfair on a legal basis as pot is legal in the state of AK. I was offended by the strict verbiage of the notice as well. No please and/or thank you’s. The notice mentioned it being private property so that’s probably how they are justified in demanding that behavior from all tenants and visitors.
Positives:
All in all a fairly well managed property with low rent prices. No on site manager but a 24 hour telephone number for maintenance issues or emergencies. Safety is a big concern for the management and they do an EXCELLENT job of keeping this property from becoming free of drug users, which can sometimes lead to thefts. I thank them whole heartily for that!
Maintenance responds consistently to all concerns and issues are fixed the first time!
Staff is pleasant and owner cares about tenants well being and safety.
From a long time tenant, I feel very fortunate to live here!
