The world’s second highest paid athlete and world champion boxer Manny Pacquiao is having a hard time finding a buyer or tenant who loves shine and sparkle. His posh Beverly Hills mansion has been on the market since May — originally listed for $13,450,000, now dropped to $11,900,000 –, and for rent at $100,000 per month.
When you say Manny Pacquiao, “glitzy” is not the first thing that comes to mind. However, his home boasts 10,000 square feet of opulence and grandeur. As you walk in, you are greeted by a grand two-storey entrance, sweeping stairway, shiny marble floors and sparkling chandeliers throughout, ritzy design details, luxurious master suite with dual baths and closets, home theater and refreshment centre and much more. The “Cribs”-worthy mansion is the synonym of “bling” in interior design language.

The Beverly Hills mansion was formerly owned by Sean “Diddy” Combs, back in the late 90’s when he was still Puff Daddy and was dating Jennifer Lopez. According to public records, Diddy sold it in 2001 for $2,313,000. In March 2015, Manny Pacquiao purchased it furnished for a reportedly $12,500,000, in a rush to have a place to accommodate his large Filipino family who was flying in for the May 2, 2015 “fight of the century” against Floyd Mayweather. Shortly after losing the fight, — from which he made well over $100,000,000 — Pacman turned around and put the property back on the market on May 25, 2015 for $13,450,000. On August 31, 2015, the price was dropped below the buying price, to $11,900,000 and the home is still unsold (and unrented).
