Victoria Homes for Sale: Worth It/Not Worth It?

Victoria real estate is a good bet for those looking to settle down in a family-friendly, outdoorsy city in the west of Canada. This part of the British Columbia real estate market also attracts many who travel a lot for business and can take advantage of a base so close to the US border. But even if the potential home buyers come from different backgrounds and look for very disparate features in a home, The Garden City seems to have something for everybody. In fact, the offers in the local real estate market are so diverse, we really need your help in choosing a property which is completely worth its asking price.

#1 102-305 Michigan Street, 1 bedroom, 1 bathroom, $269,000

The first apartment boasts over 700 square feet of living space and can be found right in the heart of the sought-after James Bay real estate market. The bright and stylish unit is located merely steps away from important amenities, such as parks, schools, shops and public transportation.

From the first moment you step inside the condo you’ll notice the spacious layout, encompassing the large living area, the separate dining area and the smart kitchen equipped with all the necessary appliances. The washroom has been recently upgraded, while the bedroom is large enough to house even an office nook. Enjoy your morning cup of coffee as you watch the world go by from your very own, private and wind-protected balcony.

In conclusion, we have three very different properties from which we need to declare a winner, so we need your help in picking one!

The first unit comes with a quite affordable price tag and a good location. Its interior is nice enough and the layout is quite clever, but the block really doesn’t look great from the outside. The kitchen and other rooms seem reasonably well-equipped, but there don’t seem to be too many windows here, which is definitely something to consider. Finally, you need to decide whether this small amount of living space, with only one bedroom and one bath, will be enough for you in the long run.

The second property features nearly 3,000 square-feet of living space with plenty of room to entertain guests. The quiet suburban location might be considered, depending on your point of view, either a major advantage of the home, or a very dull aspect indeed! The property has four bedrooms and four baths, which isn’t bad, but for this price you might find similar properties in other neighbourhoods for less money, not to mention with a larger and much more private garden.

The third home is a stunning example of Victoria luxury real estate, boasting the newest appliances and he coolest facilities for entertaining guests. The split-level design is certainly interesting, but it would require walking up steps every day, plus the roofs here are all flat, something which is rarely considered attractive. The property also has only three bedrooms, and while we can imagine enjoying the wonderful views from this prime location, a buyer would need to consider whether this place is worth the huge price tag!

Which of the three properties do you think is worth it? Let your opinion be known in the comments section below!
