According to the listing description, in 1915 the prominent sugar plantation manager Hans Peter Fayé purchased two lots at auction in the best part of the Bay. The 2-acre property has amazing 360˚ views “mauka and makai”, toward the mountains and the sea. To this day it remains one of the few large parcels on world-famous Hanalei Bay, with 213 feet of prime beachfront.
The house is currently being rented out as a vacation home starting at $1,500 per night, along with the on-site cottage. The interior has kept its original authentic Hawaiian feel, making it the perfect setting for family vacations or quiet retreats. Building on the property may be permitted up to 9,000 square feet, allowing for additional structures, pool or a larger house, according to the listing.
The actress reportedly purchased the Fayé Estate a few years ago for $14M.
