But what about other Instagram apps that make the photo-sharing social media platform a whole lot more fun? And even engaging?
What are Instagram Apps?
Instagram apps are standalone apps that help you interact with Instagram in new and exciting ways. They can help you take more attractive pictures, add text to your images before posting and even make videos out of your photos! There are hundreds of Instagram apps out there (with more popping up every day), and many of them are free to download.

Flipagram is an app that allows you to create videos from your favorite photos and set them to music, too. It’s a great way to “flip” through some of the best houses for sale in your area, great restaurants in your neighborhood or pictures of amazing gardens in your town. Or you could flip through photos of your happy clients (just be sure you have their ok first).
Watch this fun example Flipagram showing what it’s like to camp in Big Sur. Then download the free iOS, Android or Windows app.
For beautiful photo editing tools that are easy to use, look no further than Afterlight. With this Instagram app, you can crop photos, clarify your images and enhance pictures with after effects like filters and textures. You can also add borders to horizontal and vertical photos that will make them work with Instagram’s square format.
With this fun app, you can combine multiple photos to make a photo collage for Instagram. Pic Stitch is great for “stitching” together photos of different rooms in a new listing or pictures from a neighborhood event. You can also share your Pic Stitch pics on Facebook and Twitter or order prints!

Fair warning: Instagramming can be addictive and, although it’s free, what it doesn’t cost you in money it might cost you in time. Once you start using your Instagram account to showcase your listings or highlight your neighborhoods, don’t forget to add an Instagram link to your online marketing materials, including your Point2 Agent website and your email signature. Prospects will appreciate your social media savvy!
