Q: Why is my listing not appearing on ALL syndication/distribution websites?

A: Each syndication partner has their own set of criteria that determines which listings they will post.

Point2 will send your listing to as many syndication partners as possible within our syndication network (to view the syndication graphic, click here). But you may find that your listing is filtered out by some of the syndication partner sites and want to know why that is.

Each syndication partner has their own set of criteria that determines which listings will be posted. Some sites will post only rental or commercial listings or homes close to a military base, while others will have a minimum price requirement.

You can easily view which syndication sites have not accepted your listing by following these steps:

For MLS Dashboard users:

  • Sign into your Point2 account
  • Click Listings from the top menu
  • Click the Syndication button next to a listing
  • To view more information about the partner website, click the arrow to the left
  • If a partner has not accepted your listing, a reason will be displayed next to it

For Point2 Agents users (Express, Professional and Elite members):

  • Sign into your Point2 account
  • Click Listings from the top menu
  • Click the Syndication button next to a listing
  • Click the green Syndication button and select Syndication Settings from the options
  • To view more information about the partner website, click the arrow to the left
  • If a partner has not accepted your listing, a reason will be displayed next to it

Point2 Agent users have access to additional partner websites that are not included in the automated syndication feed. The New York Times and Google do not accept an automated feed, however you can purchase a spotlight ad to have your listing posted.

Craigslist, Backpage and eBay do not accept syndication feeds either.

We hope that clears it up for you!
