Daniel HartinMeet Daniel Hartin, an Australian-born, Canadian real estate agent who specializes in offshore retirement investments in Belize. Daniel has been using Point2 Agent to market his business online for over a decade – since December 2002, to be precise.

I have been using the Point2 Agent platform for years. I enjoy the easy-to-use templates and the exposure tools that are available to maximize my advertising campaigns for my clients.

Living and working in Belize since 2007, Daniel has been named the #1 RE/MAX REALTOR® in the country! We recently had a chance to catch up with this international super man, so of course we had him complete our Success Series interview. Here’s what Daniel has to say about how Point2 Agent has played a role in his success as a modern real estate agent.

When, where and why did you get started in real estate?

I started in real estate 15 years ago in Canada. I wanted to help people realize their dreams by finding the right home. I then decided to move my market offshore to Belize nearly 7 years ago.

What are your primary challenges in your market?

The hardest part about assisting people with offshore investment is helping them to appreciate the need to do due diligence and research before making that all-important investment. Making sure that you have the right representation with the right experience is vital – that’s where I come in.

When did you start using Point2 Agent and what made you choose us?

I have been using the Point2 Agent platform for years. I enjoy the easy-to-use templates and the exposure tools that are available to maximize my advertising campaigns for my clients.

What were/are your primary goals for your website? Where have you seen success?

Primarily it is used to capture leads. The most success I’ve had has been from using the drip email campaigns. It’s also an easy platform that allows you to get back to online clients automatically.

How often do you update website content? Do you do it yourself, have an assistant or hire outside services (graphic designers etc…)?

Both.

What is your favorite Point2 Agent feature? What feature would you like to see improved or added?

As I mentioned before, the drip campaign is very good. The only thing that it does not do is automatically stop sending an email once the client actually responds to an email – I think this can make the agent look like he is not paying attention.

How have you seen technology impact your business in recent years?

I have noticed that online presence is absolutely crucial in this time of business – my real estate website has definitely helped me connect with new clients.

Do you have any tips for real estate agents who are just starting out?

Do not be afraid to reinvest money that you make into your business, but make sure you invest where it count. I have always found Point2 Agent’s advertising options helpful when I am looking to increase my exposure and get more leads.
