Tanya has been around longer than most of the Point2 team. There has never been a time when you walked in and weren’t greeted with a smile and a cheery, “Hi!”.
Customers always comment about how friendly Tanya is on the phone and how nice it is to speak with her. We sure don’t know what we would do without her!
We asked Tanya to answer a few questions about herself. Here’s what she had to say:
What is your favorite book of all time and why?
I LOVE suspense/detective/horror books! Some of my fave authors include John Saul, James Patterson and Dean Koontz. I categorize how much I like a book by the level of bad dreams it gives me at night while I’m reading it…LOL…the more scared I am, the better!
If you have an hour of free time to spare, what do you do with it?
If I have an hour of spare time, I love to spend it going for a walk or laying on my bed reading
What kinds of food do you like?
Well I like lots of food…they just can’t be touching on my plate. Okay, well, SOME foods can touch, some can’t…trust me, I have a long list of my preferences. So a list of some of my faves would include vegetarian pizza, hot wings, vegetable shrimp pasta (my specialty!) and for dessert…sours, chocolate, strawberry rhubarb pie. OH yes, and Starbucks hot chocolate is my favorite ‘food’ of all…especially when it gets made with a TON of extra caramel drizzle…woohooo!
What do you like best about your job?
What I like the best about my job is really everything!! From answering the phone to helping with different projects, I love every aspect of it. My most favorite thing about my job is getting to see and talk to everyone in my Point2 family every day. I love when they stop by desk to share something special about their lives with me, or even if they just say a friendly ‘hi’ as they walk by during the day. I also like making people feel better when they are having a bad day…kind words and hugs are free at this desk! I’m definitely a lifer at Point2…
What are the words you live by?
The words I live by are “treat everyone the way you would like to be treated”.
What do you want to be when you grow up?
I’m never growing up!
What are some things on your bucket list?
My bucket list includes getting going on a hot holiday, hittin’ up Vegas, and last but not least, I would love to get a chance to work a wrecking ball just ONCE in my life…that would be SWEET to knock something down!
What was your last Do It Yourself project?
The last project I did was renovating my condo. When I bought it from the retired couple, it had 35 yr old carpet and n-a-s-t-y wallpaper with large blue flowers all over it. My dad and I spent every evening and all weekends in June gutting the entire place, putting in hardwood, painting the walls, replacing baseboards, and we also knocked the wall down between the kitchen and living room and had a breakfast counter put in. There was literally blood, sweat and lotsa tears(on my part, not dads lol) while renovating my place. I felt such a great sense of accomplishment every time I set foot in my condo after that, I’m also forever grateful for my dad.
If you could have a super power, what would it be?
The one super power I would love to have, is to be able to turn back time…there are lots of things in my life that I would do differently.
What’s something about you that few people know?
Only people that I’m super close to know my big secret…I’m actually horribly shy! To be honest, it was difficult for me to even answer these questions! Once you get to know me though, I never stop talking LOL!
