60 On The Square - a place to live.

When I moved in, I wasn’t worried. It’s a small space, but I’m one person moving from far away, so it seemed like a great choice for the price - especially given that it’s a locked building. It took me literally three days To figure out that I really was on my own, here. I fell, and knocked down the shower, curtain rod, and put in the maintenance request over a few weeks before putting it together as best I could myself. I have yet to actually receive a response to a maintenance request In the year I’ve lived here, and the visits that I’ve received from maintenance were because of building wide issue, and, when i told them about another problem i was having related to tuat problrm, i i was told that they couldnt help, and so i was left to clean up of the mess left behind and try figure out the other problems on my own. It's gotten to the point that, if i have a problem, i just do the tesearch and fix it myself, because I’ve learned that my requests go nowhere. Even when I lost my AC during a heatwave, I had to contact the landlord directly, and, it took three weeks for the problem to resolved (and I still had issues with it for weeks after). Besides this, we still can’t get packages delivered to our building directly, we have trouble getting any outside services as our address is still listed as a business, and we have gone long periods if time without our trash being picked up. The noise outside I can deal with, but the walls are so thin that none of us can make a move without our neighbor hearing. The only reason I haven’t left, truly, is because i havent had time to look for anywhere else. For now, I’ll enjoy the central location and focus on the positive side of my mixed feelings about the locked building. Still, I can’t say that, had I known all of this, I would be so willing and eager to move in.

I have only been here a month. I have only been here a few weeks, but so far, I am very happy with my apartment, and all that comes along with it in the building. I hardly ever hear any noise – especially after the 10 to 7 curfew, which is a very big deal for me, as I go to sleep and get up very early for work. I haven’t had any real interaction with the staff or maintenance, but I’ve been very satisfied with the condition of the building. Things are starting out very well.
