It is good in general. Some of our neighbors smoke indoors and affect our living condition.

Overall, I've enjoyed living at Pembrook Place on Sandhutton Ave. It has felt very safe, I've had no issues with neighbors and the units are well equipped. There was a management change during my time here. There was less maintenance staff. The current management have been less responsive to concerns, even at times somewhat rude, using unsubstantiated statements to talk to me about maintenance request. For the most part I've avoided them so it hasn't been a problem. They have a clunky/finicky rent collection system, with limited automaticity. They blame residents for not paying unforseen charges they put on the account, but thankfully I haven't been charged late fees, otherwise this review would be much harsher, and I may have even sued for some unresolved maintenance requests that were raising my water bill. The gym is decent, has everything one can need, though could use a squat rack. Place has a lot of potential if they invested in managers that knew the basics of hospitality and management that put the renters first. If not, I feel they probably will slide from a desirable place to be, to a place to avoid. Occupancy seems to propped up by few good options for rent in Rockford, and a decent, safe location. Large Mosque and seemingly wealthy Muslim Population near by that seem invested in improving the area. So much potential for a wholesome happy community wasted by poor management.

Good place to live, having some issues with management recently, but hopefully it is temporary. Some oversight of fulfilling maintenance requests and not the most helpful with feedback, but overall solid build quality of apartments
