Thornberry Woods Apartment Homes

I've recently signed my first lease renewal, having lived here since April 2022. When I first moved, many of the buildings and garages were still under construction from a tornado that passed through the summer before. Since then the work has been completed and the neighborhood has filled back up with residents. Even with a full community there's still plenty of parking. Some of the units back up to forest preserve...which only adds to the serenity of the neighborhood. Units are in varying stages of updates - though I live in an "older" one, and prefer the warm wood tones and granite counters. The newest units have sleek white cabinets and counters, and residents have their choice of appliance packages upon move in. There's also a good sized pool, community (gas) grill, covered patio with "lawn" games and plenty of comfy seating, a firepit, and all new pool/outdoor furniture. The clubhouse also has a small gym with 24-hour access, a kitchen, and business area with access to computer, printers, etc. The staff and maintenance crew at Thornberry Woods are TOP NOTCH! Maintenance is quick to respond, and often able to make the repairs within one visit. Kevin, Carrie, and the rest of the office team are also extremely helpful whenever you have questions/concerns and always friendly. When there was an issue with one of my utility bills they credited me while the problem was being resolved without my having to ask. If there was anything that I would change (if I could) it would be proximity to local stores and restaurants. The tradeoff of living right next to the bike paths and forest preserve is that you have to drive to get to any businesses. Not that it's a long drive, but it would be great to have something within walking distance. All in all - I HIGHLY recommend Thornberry Woods, and will be staying for the near future.
