Alta at Horizon West

We have been living here for 7 months. Almost everything is very good. The neighbors, and Avalon, make a lot of noise. I chose Avalon, but the neighbors didn't! A little more vigilance and better care with the pool will solve the problem. We believe in Alta staff.

I know it is not the property management's fault, so do not take this as a dog on y'all. All of the staff at the location have been awesome and accommodating, and I have nothing but awesome things to say about them. However; The build quality of the apartments are sub-par for the amount of money asked in rent. I have multiple places on the walls where drywall was half-assed patched. Even when moving in, I have multiple areas where I had to request maintenance to come and repair chipped drywall in an apartment that had yet to be lived in. The bathrooms have minimal ventilation which makes them feel very humid all of the time, even with the ventilation fan running. The bathtub itself was not caulked around the edges, and instead grout was used. Due to this, the grout began to crack, which allowed mildew to grow inside of the cracks. The fans have electrical issues to where the dimmer switch for the light does not even work, and the light is either on or off. I have had to call maintenance due to the shelfs inside of my closet falling in the middle of the night, and it was determined they were not secured properly to the wall in the first place. The base boards have a gap from the bottom of the floor, to which centipedes and other creatures have utilized to enter into my apartment. I could go on, however the character limit is restricting me. I have lived at an Alta property before, and this one has disappointed me since the first night. Once again, all the staff is amazing and have done their best to fix my issues, however they are not able to fix the poor construction of this property.
