I grew up in Sacramento, California, and attended Mira Loma High School graduating in 1970. Yikes! I then went on to American River Junior college where I majored in English. Soon, I married my high school sweetheart, and we had our first son in 1976. When our son was just three months old, my husband and I sold our home, packed up the baby in our Volkswagen van, and headed north. We toured the Pacific Northwest, and decided to settle in Central Oregon to a small town call La Pine, just south of Bend. Two years later, our youngest son came along. La Pine became too cold and desolate for me, so after a Hawaiian vacation, my husband and I, along with our five and seven year old sons, moved to the tropical island of Kauai. Sadly, our marriage ended in 1992, so I went back to the Mainland to start a new life for my sons and myself. Then, hurricane Iniki hit, so I had to wait before my sons could join me in California. That was something else, I'll tell you!;After my sons had left the nest, I decided to visit Los Barriles in the East Cape of Baja California Sur where I decided to build a little vacation casita. After about 10 years of coming to the Baja, I decided to make Los Barriles my permanent home two years ago. ;My dog, Emma, and I live in my little casita by the sea, and are very happy, safe and secure here in my little bit of Paradise.
