The city of Kitchener is located in Southern Ontario it is about 62 miles west of Toronto and is known as the “seat of the municipality of Waterloo”. It has a long history with its inception as the town of Berlin from 1854-1912.

In 1912 until 1916 it became known as the city of Berlin. The city, Kitchener, covers about 52.84 square miles.

The population is numbered 244,030 as of 2016.
