Main Sections of the City

As a village, Cumberland is considered to be an entire community instead of anagglomeration of smaller communities. There is a central area where some of the amenities might be concentrated, but apart from that it is generally regarded as a homogenous unit. Within this central area are several accommodations for tourists in the form of rental cottages, hotels and B&Bs. Fortunately, many major cities are not too far away. It takes approximately one hour by car to arrive at these destinations. This provides citizens with a secluded living experience that is not too far removed from the rest of the world.

Although there are no major developments that are taking place, a few new homes are being built that have a more modern interior and exterior design to them.On the outskirts of the village, you can expect to find a few cottages near the wilderness that serve as vacation homes or rental properties.
