Sherwood Park, located just east of Edmonton, is situated in the central section of the province. The town has a population of over 64,000 people and is close to the communities of Fort Saskatchewan, Ardrossan, and Looma. Sherwood Park covers 70.98 square kilometers and includes a number of small neighbourhoods. Plenty of park space and small lakes can be found in the town, and there are many larger lakes nearby.

The Yellowhead Highway runs through the northern section of Sherwood Park and provides a fast and efficient travel option to and from the town. Commercial space (restaurants and shopping) is located along the highway, and the rest of the section is residential with some parks and small lakes.

In the central section of town, there is more commercial space along Baseline Road, which includes restaurants, retail stores, and services such as banking. A shopping mall, a large golf course, a performing arts theatre, and an athletic park can also be found in this section, along with residential areas.

The less densely populated southern section has residential areas, as well as a large golf course, a cemetery and funeral home, a commercial section with restaurants and stores, and several parks and small lakes. Wye Road, a major roadway, runs through this section.
