BCCL, originally known as the BC Collateral Loan Co. building, consisting of 71, 73, and 77 East Hastings Street, is now a mixed commercialresidential building, but has maintained the neon sign to its original quality. Close to Gastown, Chinatown, and located in the heart of the Downtown Eastside, this is city living with all of its eccentricities and conveniences. The building is heritage designated built in 1902 and was completely renovated in 2014 to a C category. The second and third floors of 71 E. Hastings are home to 19 pet-friendly micro-suites; each suite unique in its size and layout ranging from 225 to 369 square feet. The suites all have their own three-piece bathroom and a kitchen complete with a stove, mini-fridge, and numerous custom cabinets. The tall ceilings of the heritage building provide a feeling of spaciousness that is welcome in a micro-suite environment. On site laundry is conveniently located on the third floor.The street level has two commercial businesses, 73 and 77 East Hastings Street, both with access to large basements.
